Curran Connolly & Co. are a Northern Ireland Insurance Broker based in south Belfast. The business has been trading over 50 years. We deal with all Commercial and Private Classes of insurance.

Role Description

This is a full-time on-site role located in south Belfast for a Commercial Insurance Broker at Curran Connolly & Co. The Commercial Insurance Broker will be responsible for tasks such as insurance brokerage, customer service, underwriting, and account management.

Qualifications

• Insurance Brokerage and Insurance skills (min 2 years)
• Customer Service and Account Management skills
• Experience in risk placement
• Strong communication and negotiation skills
• Ability to analyze and assess risks
• Knowledge of commercial insurance policies and regulations
• CII Exam Progression – Preferable

Key Tasks

• Placing New Business: Prepare and submit accurate market presentations or place business online, negotiate terms with insurers and prospective clients.
• Process Renewal of Existing Business: Review and submit updated presentations to re-broke business, negotiate terms with existing and prospective insurers, communicate with clients.
• Process Mid Term Adjustments
• Invoice Clients Correct Premiums
• Produce, request and issue Insurer documentation as per regulatory requirements.
• Issue summaries of Insurance placed
• Act as first point of contact within service team for day to day client insurance queries.
• Claims; Take details, register and mange claims.
