This is an exciting new role working as part of the Business Improvement Team. You will work across the organisation to support the identification and development of a series of comprehensive and innovative business solutions that deliver improved value for money through efficiencies and enhanced customer service experience.
In this role, you will be responsible for:
- Managing the full core system(s) life cycle to ensure user acceptance, readiness and seamless product process adherence, supporting financial and other targets being achieved.
- Working with service delivery teams, project managers, contractors, development teams and other project stakeholders to manage the co-ordination and delivery of software release cycles and system improvements, ensuring all relevant stakeholders have oversight and input prior to LIVE release.
- Effectively designing, developing and implementing core system(s) enhancements, automations, integration, configuration changes and visual reporting to complement improvement programmes that are evidence-based and in line with our operating principles.
- Reviewing the content of product roadmaps and releases to ensure the business can adopt new features and remains at the forefront in their use to improve business processes and outcomes for customers.
- Acting as the core systems owner/champion and anticipating changes in core systems user needs to ensure we continue to work efficiently and effectively during and after core system(s) enhancements.
- Monitoring benefits and impact of core system enhancements against IVH Living Better methodology (Customer, Colleague, Carbon & Cost).
- Championing robust performance data quality across the organisation.
- Designing and developing datasets and data visualisations to support informed system and performance improvement, accountability and transparency.
We need people who are / have:
- A keen interest and competency in using our core systems.
- The ability to analyse and interpret data.
- Experience in using Lean systems or other formally recognised improvement methodology.
- Knowledge of Power BI.

You would start at a lower salary commensurate to your skills and experience and must be willing to work towards meeting the full requirements of this role within two years. If you are successful in obtaining this role as a development opportunity, you will be given a formal development plan and all relevant training.

Irwell Valley Homes is a housing association providing affordable homes and services to over 16,000 people across Greater Manchester and employing over 280 colleagues. We are a charitable, registered provider of social housing and offer homes mainly for social rent, with a small number for affordable rent, market rent and shared ownership. We also provide homes with support for people with dementia, mental health issues, learning and physical disabilities, those who have been made homeless and people affected by domestic abuse.
As well as providing homes, we deliver services and support to customers and work in partnership with specialist organisations to help them sustain their tenancies and get on in life. We engage with customers to shape services and review our effectiveness.
