1st Line Support Engineer – London – £28K + Benefits
Overview:
An established Managed Service Provider (MSP) is looking for a 1st Line Support Engineer to join their growing team. This role has opened due to client growth, and you’ll be providing IT support to a range of clients, primarily in financial services, property, healthcare, and other industries.
You’ll be part of a close-knit team of engineers, working in a collaborative, casual environment where teamwork is key. There’s a strong focus on career progression, with opportunities to move into a 2nd Line role as you develop your skills.
Role & Responsibilities:
- Provide 1st line support to clients across a Microsoft 365 cloud environment.
- Support and troubleshoot VoIP solutions (3CX).
- Manage incoming support requests via three ticketing channels: 45% calls, 45% emails, 10% RMM (Remote Monitoring & Management).
- Diagnose and resolve technical issues efficiently, escalating when necessary.
- Work collaboratively within a tight-knit team to ensure high service standards.
- Deliver excellent customer service and maintain strong client relationships.
Essential Skills & Requirements:
- Experience in a 1st Line IT Support role within an MSP environment.
- Strong knowledge of Microsoft 365 and cloud-based solutions.
- Familiarity with VoIP systems, ideally 3CX.
- Comfortable handling support requests via calls, emails, and RMM tools.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and a proactive approach to issue resolution.
- Strong communication skills and a customer-focused mindset.
