This is a full-time role based in Bucknell, Shropshire for a Heavy Goods Vehicle (HGV) Driver at Hornsey Steel Panels and Sections Ltd. The HGV Driver will be responsible for the safe and efficient transportation of goods to various destinations nationwide via multi-drop routes, involving regular nights away. Daily tasks include performing pre-trip and post-trip inspections of the vehicle, following delivery schedules, ensuring the proper loading and unloading of materials, and maintaining accurate delivery records. Responsible for carrying out pre-planned multi-drop routes including regular nights out to accommodate our national delivery offer (must possess a current and valid HGV licence with at least 2 years relevant experience)Responsible for the safe offloading of material upon delivery.Responsible for carrying out regular vehicle checks as stipulated by our Transport Manager, reporting any defects or issues accurately and efficiently.Responsible for providing a first class, industry leading delivery experience for our varied range of customers.Working to a pre-agreed set of delivery KPI’s as agreed with our Transport Manager.Any other day-to-day tasks as deemed necessary by our Transport Manager to support and ensure maximum efficiency.
Current and valid HGV licence.Minimum of 2 years previous experience as an HGV Driver….
