Engineering Asset Planner

The Engineering Planner / Engineering Maintenance Planner offers a basic salary of £38,570 working for a PLC listed market leading manufacturer based at their Throckly factory near Newcastle.The Engineering Planner/ Engineering Maintenance Planner will work closely with the Site Engineering Manager and Engineering Team Leaders, to maximize the performance of engineering operations and will be responsible for the work planning of the maintenance team and contract labour, including shutdowns and PPMs.What’s in it for you as Engineering Planner/ Engineering Maintenance Planner:Day’s based position – Monday to Friday 8am – 4.Pension contribution up to 10%Health Care Scheme Aviva Digi+Training and career development opportunitiesMain duties of Engineering Planner/ Engineering Maintenance Planner:The leadership of the maintenance shutdown coordination, establishing best engineering practicesControl and populate the engineering shift plan for all engineering personnel across all disciplines including contractorsControl, populate and prioritise a work backlog for all maintenance activities or activities involving the engineering teamKey involvement with the implementation of a new CMMS system and T-card systemWork closely with the Engineering Maintenance Supervisor, Engineering Manager, and Operational Managers to provide a schedule of work for shift engineers to maintain and improve the reliability of assetsEnsure that equipment removed from the plant, which is being repaired in-house, is coordinated through the shift plan, Work Orders allocated to the repair of each item and appropriate cost capturedCoordinate and site contact for Contractors to ensure safe and controlled activities are completed on-site and to the quality of engineering standardsExperience required to apply for Engineering Planner/ Engineering Maintenance Planner:CMMS and Maintenance Planning experienceEngineering Training / Qualifications (NVQ3, HNC)Demonstrable Mechanical and Electrical EngineeringStrong computer skills…
