Job Title: R&D Scientist

Location: Slough, UK

Duration: 12 Months Contract

Job Description:

General role responsibilities:

• Perform experiments, analyze and report results in a fast-paced and collaborative environment.
• Review results accuracy to draw scientific conclusions linked to experimental goals
• Develop skills and expertise in the Protein Function and Interaction area, with focus on product binding (e.g., ELISA, Octet and/or Biacore), metabolic changes (e.g. enzymatic assays) and characterization of Mode of Action (MoA) through cell-based assays.
• Develop analytical skills using a range of chromatography-based approaches – such as Protein-A affinity and SEC Activities:
• Planning experiments/work and writing electronic lab notebook (20%)
• Analytical development or sample analysis (60%)
• Lab Maintenance /Stock taking/ordering (15%)
• Administration, including time sheets/ departmental meetings etc. (5%)
• Required experience: previous laboratory experience in analytical techniques with experience in at least one protein function andinteraction-relatedd techniques (i.,e Octet, Biacore, cell culture, enzymatic assays), with applications to product’s functional characterization.
