Job Description:

A highly regarded, full-service regional firm is seeking a Property Lawyer to join its specialist Agricultural Property team. This role is based in the firm’s Hampshire office, which is home to a team with a national reputation for rural and agricultural legal work.

Whether you’re a junior looking to carve out a niche in agricultural law, or a real estate lawyer wanting to pivot into a dynamic and client-focused practice, this is a fantastic opportunity to join a busy, supportive team in one of the most respected firms in this space.

Why Join?

  • Specialist focus with national reach: You’ll work within one of the UK’s leading agricultural law teams, advising landowners, estates, farmers, and agri-businesses across England and Wales.
  • Culture-first firm: With a strong emphasis on work-life balance, hybrid working, and even dog-friendly offices, solicitors here stay for the culture as much as the quality of work.
  • Clear career path: The team is actively hiring at the junior-mid level to support a growing workload. There is real room for progression within the team.

What You’ll Work On

You’ll support senior solicitors on a broad mix of rural land transactions and advisory work, including:

  • Sales and purchases of farms, estates, and agricultural land
  • Agricultural tenancies and succession planning
  • First registrations and title investigation
  • Easements, covenants, and access rights
  • Development opportunities on rural land

Clients range from traditional landowners and estates to entrepreneurial land-based businesses and developers. You’ll have early client contact and be supported by sector-leading experts across property, tax, and private client work.

The Ideal Candidate

  • Qualified solicitor (England & Wales), from NQ up to 5 years PQE
  • Ideally has some experience in agricultural or rural property, but the team is also open to real estate lawyers and those with high-end residential conveyancing backgrounds with an interest in transitioning
  • Strong technical and organisational skills
  • Personable, pragmatic, and eager to work closely with clients in a relationship-driven team

Location & Flexibility

The role is based in Hampshire, with hybrid working and flexibility built into the firm’s culture.

What’s On Offer

  • Competitive salary
  • Clear progression track within a growing team
  • Collaborative, down-to-earth culture, with lots of social events and networking opportunities
  • Full benefits package including private medical, generous holidays, and flexible working options
  • A modern office space

This is a fantastic opportunity to join a firm known for its balance of professional excellence and human approach. Whether you are curious about agricultural law or looking for a fresh challenge, now is a great time to get in touch.
