- Develop ideas and events to drive footfall and increase profits
- Day to day running of the bar including open/close procedures
- Recruit, manage, develop and motivate staff, including training, setting standards, managing the rota
- Manage the bar till, cash, payments and till reconciliation
- Manage marketing and events using social media
- Demonstrate outstanding customer service
- Strong cellar management abilities including line cleaning, gas changes, draft dispense, handling deliveries, managing stock and placing orders based on business needs and budget
- Maintaining high standards with regard to cleanliness of the bar and maintenance of equipment within it. Organisational skills are vital
- Strong communication skills, acting as main line of contact between bar and kitchen staff
- Personal Licence Holder
- Food Hygiene certificate holder
- Ensure all legal requirements are adhered to e.g. health and safety, licensing legislation, taking overall legal responsibility for the premises licence, cleanliness
- Ensure menus are up to date and correct
- Create a welcoming environment for customers and dealing with difficult customer
- Any other duties as required.
