Small Works Manager

Job Description

Harris Global are currently on the lookout for a Small Works Manager to join our client based in Oxted.

Candidates must have prior experience working in Construction or Roofing/Cladding and will have Health and Safety experience alongside creating RAMS.

Key Responsibilities:

• Plan and coordinate plant, materials, labour, and scheduling for small works projects up to £10k.
• Attend internal contract meetings and liaise with key stakeholders.
• Negotiate with suppliers, subcontractors, and service providers to ensure best value.
• Ensure delivery of agreed service centre margins and profitability targets.
• Prepare Health & Safety documentation in line with company policies, ensuring all contracts meet compliance and safety standards.
• Create and manage Risk Assessments and Method Statements (RAMS) to ensure safe working practices.
• Oversee service reviews carried out by operatives and contracts supervisors.
• Utilise the company’s project management portal to record site activity, progress, and documentation.
• Build and maintain positive communication with client representatives to ensure smooth project delivery.

Knowledge & Experience Required:

• Experience in a roofing, construction, or facilities management environment
• Knowledge of health & safety regulations
• Experience in creating RAMS (Risk Assessment & Method Statements)
• Familiarity with different systems and materials used in construction and roofing
• Ability to communicate effectively at all levels, both internally and externally
• Excellent organisational and time management skills
