- Specification Influence: Ensure our specifications remain in place throughout the RIBA project stages, working closely with architects, subcontractors, and project managers.
- Commercial Agreements: Negotiate and secure agreements with main contractors to establish us as a preferred supplier.
- Project Tracking & Strategy: Monitor and track all relevant projects, ensuring timely engagement at critical phases of the project lifecycle.
- Collaboration with Internal Teams: Work alongside specification managers, account managers, and in-house design teams to ensure technical alignment.
- Stakeholder Coordination: Act as the key point of contact between main contractors and our internal teams, ensuring smooth handover of specifications and alignment with sales teams.
- Market & Competitor Awareness: Stay updated on industry trends, competitor specifications, and main contractor requirements to position our products effectively.
Key Skills & Experience:
- Non-negotiable: Experience in construction, specification sales, and main contractor engagement (working within the RIBA framework).
- Strong knowledge of main contractor procurement processes and their key concerns (cost, compliance, efficiency, and risk mitigation).
- Understanding of the BSA, GTW2 and how it impacts the industry.
- Proven ability to negotiate and secure agreements with contractors.
- Project tracking expertise, understanding when and how to intervene in the project timeline.
- Excellent stakeholder management skills, able to bridge relationships between contractors, subcontractors, and internal teams.
- Technical understanding of construction materials/products.
- Commercial acumen, able to align our offering with the business objectives of main contractors.
- Fluent in English with excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Why Join Us?
- People-oriented business with strong values.
- Development position to more senior levels in the organization.
- Strategic, high-impact role with the ability to shape our market presence.
- A chance to influence key decisions in major construction projects.
- Work with industry-leading architects, contractors, and design teams.
