Dimensional Inspector (Weekends)
The Dimensional Inspector plays a critical role in ensuring that Had Fab products meet the highest quality standards and precise specification.
Rate of pay – £27.75 per hour (13 Weeks probationary period CIS / Umbrella)
Shifts – Friday to Sunday, 07:00
17:30You will be required to completed 3 weeks initial training with the day shift (39 hrs Monday
Thursday 7am -5pm)
Main Duties and Responsibilities
Perform detailed inspections of fabricated, machined components and structures to ensure compliance with design specifications and industry standards.Utilise precision measuring tools and equipment to assess dimensional accuracy, tolerances and overall qualityCollaborate with the supervision team to address any deviations or discrepancies in fabrication processesComplete inspection reports and documentation for quality assurance recordsWork closely with Supervisor and RWC to resolve quality issues and implement corrective actionsFill in all relevant paperwork to maintain traceability and report on Right First Time (RFT)Ensure any non-conforming parts are issued to a quarantine area.Track quantities and parts assembled in bundles during inspection to assist the material handler with dispatch.Authorities, Interface, Reporting and Supervision

Follow and adhere to all training receivedEnsure that HSEQ policies and practices are adhered toReport any accidents, incidents and near misses to supervisor and through Mango.Report any defects/fabrication non-conformities to your supervisor and raise on Mango.Maintain records and traceability throughout the fabrication processWear and look after issued PPE/RPENot to deliberately interfere with or misuse anything provided to maintain safety and to comply with legislationParticipate in risk assessments and comply with controls specified in the risk assessmentSkills, Knowledge and Attributes
Proven experience as a Dimensional Inspector or fabricator in a steel fabrication or manufacturing environmentProficiency in using a variety of measuring tools such as calipers, squares, tapes, rules and gaugesBe open to exploring and utilising new methods of inspection.Strong understanding of fabrication and assembly drawingsAttention to detail and a commitment to upholding quality standardsExcellent communication and teamwork skillsNVQ or similar qualification in fabrication or engineering disciplineKnowledge of relevant industry standards and quality control procedures
