Software Test Engineer/QA (Energy Storage Systems)Fully on-site at our GivEnergy UK Head Office in Newcastle-under-Lyme, Staffordshire (ST5 9HX)
Permanent, 37.5 hours per week, Monday – Friday, 9am – 5pm
Salary: £35k – £55k pa depending on experience and qualification level
Experience Level: 3+ years’ experience in a similar role would be preferred

We’re growing our team with a Test Engineer to help develop a smart, scalable platform that powers innovation, supports hardware R&D, and keeps GivEnergy ahead of the curve in our mission to empower energy freedom for all!
Planning own work and supporting the Senior Test Engineer with planning work for the team.Ensuring deadlines are met for projects, making sure that the testing scope can be implemented towards the end of the sprint.
Plan integration testing with hardware components (e.g., Working with the team analysing requirements, building test plans, and testing new features.
Manual TestingVerify UI/UX for mobile applications and large screens.Perform exploratory testing of new software builds for several teams.Root cause analysis for the issues found during QA process.Regression Testing~ Ensure recent software changes haven’t broken existing features.
Test the new software is compatible with existing firmware.
Hardware Testing (Optional)~ Ensure correct data is captured and interpreted (e.g. temperature sensors, meters etc.)
