TITLE: Security Engineer – Intruder Alarms, CCTV and Access Control

SALARY: CIRCA £30-40k DOE

ROLE: Security Engineer – Intruder Alarms, CCTV and Access Control

As a Security Engineer, your main focus will be servicing and maintaining security systems, with a particular emphasis on Intruder Alarms. Previous experience within the security industry is essential, along with solid knowledge of Intruder Alarm systems, CCTV, and Access Control. Familiarity with systems such as Honeywell Galaxy, Texecom, and Scantronic would be highly beneficial.

The position will require regular travel to client sites across Northampton and the surrounding areas.

EXPERIENCE: Security Engineer – Intruder Alarms, CCTV and Access Control

You’ll be an experienced Security Engineer with strong skills in servicing and maintaining Intruder Alarms, CCTV, and Access Control systems. A good understanding of wiring and solid knowledge of electronic fundamentals is essential. Hands-on experience with equipment from manufacturers including Honeywell Galaxy, Texecom, and Scantronic is highly valued, and holding relevant security or electrical qualifications would be a great asset.

Certifications such as those from the Fire Industry Association (FIA), BTEC or NVQ Level 2/3 in Electronic Security and Emergency Systems, as well as accreditation from bodies like the Security Inspectorate (NSI) or the Security Systems and Alarms Inspection Board (SSAIB), are highly valued for this position.

A full UK Driving Licence is also a must, as travel to various sites will be required.
