Freelance Digital Manager

Kenna Recruitment has a new exciting opportunity for an experienced Digital Manager to join a Tier 1 Main Contractor in Reading. As a Digital Manager you will:

1. Implement regional strategy for; and manage the implementation of BIM processes, procedures, and best practice across the regional business.
2. Support bids and live projects with understanding the BIM requirements and setting out a strategy for which best suits the client’s needs and the supply chain’s capabilities.
3. Develop the skills and understanding of others through training and ongoing support so that the BIM duties are and can be undertaken by the project or bid team.
4. Identify areas for continuous improvement both at regional and project level.

The Role:

The Main responsibilities of the Digital Construction Manager will be:

1. Monitor the completion of our IM Gateway forms across all tenders to fulfil assurance procedures relating to early assessment of design team capability and internal resource considerations.
2. Responsible for ensuring Exchange Information Requirements and Asset Information Requirements are responded to and delivered across relevant project(s).
3. Responsible for ensuring the use of the common data environment to manage, share and exchange information, adhering to ISO 19650 across relevant projects.
4. Support and audit the project team to ensure standards, methods and procedures using specified software/workflows are in use.
5. To cover various Digital/BIM Management tasks for the lifecycle of a construction project, including work winning, design phase, pre-construction phase, construction phase, handover, and soft landings.
6. Work closely with the wider project team, client team, and trade sub-contractors. Having regular contact with the Area Digital Construction Manager and Director for Digital Construction.
7. Facilitate the integration of Digital Construction/BIM on projects, driving the SRM digital construction strategy and business culture in a manner which upholds the Visions and Values of the Company.

Key responsibilities / experience:

1. Relevant BIM Qualifications/Courses.
2. Experience implementing BIM within the construction industry.
3. Working knowledge of Revit, Navisworks, Solibri, Viewpoint 4 Projects, and COBie.
