Job Overview

  • To protect our customer’s property, people and/or assets by providingsecurityservices in direct accordancewiththe sites published AssignmentInstructions(AI’s) andanysubsequent changes.

  • Delivering results that meet and / or exceed the Key performanceindicators/ Service Level Agreement for the customer through fullresponsibilityandaccountability, providing a service that aids in the retention of the contract.

  • To undertakeadditionaltraining toensurecontinuousself-development.

Main Duties

Operations

  • To be aware of andensurecompliancewithallaspects of policies and relevant legal andregulatoryrequirementsas directed by theSecurityAccount Manager and in accordancewithUK Law and Guidance bodies.

  • Fully andsatisfactorilycompleteallof the tasks and duties on site as defined within the published AssignmentInstructions(AI’s).

  • Proactively refer to and review the published AssignmentInstructions, thusfamiliarisingoneselfwithanychanges in order to suggestadditionalamendments that will improve or enhance the current level of service.

  • To be compliantwithIndustry andStatutoryLegislation(you are required to obtain a front-line licence in eitherSecurityGuarding or DoorSupervision), which must be worn atalltimes whilst carrying out your duties. The Customer also requires a CCTV PSS SIA Licence. There are alsoadditionalcourses that arecontractuallyrequired.

  • Complywithlegalobligationsand safetyrequirementsof the role.

  • Followinstructionsand proceduresappropriatelywithoutunnecessarilychallengingauthority.

  • Work in asystematic,methodologyand orderly way.

Training

  • Fully andsatisfactorilycompleteallrequiredcompetencytraining.

  • To undertakeadditionaltraining toensurecontinuousself-developmentas directed by theSecurityAccount Manager.

  • Usetechnologyto achieve key workobjectivesand develop job knowledge and expertise throughcontinualprofessionaldevelopment.

  • You are required toensureyou renew your licence 16 weeks before expiry.

Securityand Health & Safety

  • Look out for, and toimmediatelyreport,anyHealth & Safety hazards, or potential hazards, on site.

  • Stay alert toanythreats or changes within the workenvironmentin order to take theappropriateaction to reduce the chance of disruption, loss or damage.

  • Use common sense andinitiativebyimmediatelyinvolving others if asituationappears to become threatening.

  • To maintainprofessionalconduct in the face of difficultsituationsandchallengingcustomers.

  • Complete an accurate, detailed notebook entry as soon as possible afteranyincident, which can then be used as part of the Incident Report process.

  • Keep to schedules and demonstratecommitmentto Mitie and the Client.

  • Toensurecheck calls are being carried out at theallocatedtime slot asstipulatedin the AssignmentInstructions(AI’s).

  • To callemergencyservices andCommunicationCentre to reportallincidents.
