Elvet Recruitment are recruiting for a Senior Quantity Surveyor on behalf of a long-standing regional civil engineering principal contractor based in Humberside.
They're looking to add a permanent Senior Quantity Surveyor to their team as opposed to freelance as they're big advocates of long staff tenures and like having a cohesive team who work well together. The contractor has an annual turnover around £40m and have been successful recently in acquisition & renewal of several frameworks which are leading to several busy work streams.
Projects involving: highways, junction improvements, drainage, bridges/structures, pumping stations, marina's/ports and more. Project values run from: £500k to £10m and all delivered as main contractor. They have reasonably strong self-delivery capabilities which are aided by selected sub-contractors.
Please note: this role is based between office, home & site. Will be largely down to this person to plan their workload to achieve the deliverables of the role. (Most projects are within 1 hour of Hull but sometimes further travel may be required).
Duties:
- CVR's & cost reports
- Provide advice & guidance to commercial team
- Commercially manage projects at all stages
- Sub-contractor procurement
- Identify & input into value engineering
- Early warnings, contract changes, compensation events
- Project forecasts
- Agree final accounts
- Site visits to record information
Experience Required:
- Must have experience working as Quantity Surveyor or Senior Quantity Surveyor for a Civil Engineering main contractor
- Must have experience with NEC contracts, NEC3 or NEC4
- Must have relevant vocational qualification or degree
- Must have CSCS card
Remuneration:
