Senior Legal Counsel

Our client is seeking a Senior Legal Counsel to provide legal and compliance support for operations in the UK and Ireland. This role involves advising on commercial and regulatory matters, ensuring compliance with applicable laws, and working closely with internal stakeholders to manage risk and support business objectives.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Draft, review, and negotiate contracts, including construction agreements and distribution/channel terms.
  • Provide legal advice on antitrust and competition regulations in distribution and channel partnerships.
  • Develop and maintain contract templates and legal policies.
  • Identify and mitigate legal risks through policies and procedures.
  • Manage claims and litigation.
  • Ensure compliance with relevant laws and company policies.
  • Deliver training and support legal compliance programs.
  • Provide additional legal support as required.

Requirements:

  • Fully qualified lawyer with a Master/Bachelor of Laws degree or equivalent.
  • Fluent in English (written and verbal) with strong technological skills.
  • Experience working in an international corporate environment, ideally in an in-house legal role.
  • Strong analytical skills to assess complex legal and commercial issues.
  • Commercially minded with excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Highly organised, proactive, and able to manage multiple tasks effectively.
  • Ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
