Luxury Cruise Consultant Needed

My client known as the Rolls Royce of cruise only specialists, is seeking a Luxury Cruise Consultant to join them, focusing on delivering an exceptional buying experience to the most discerning and demanding luxury travellers.

Job Description

Sales

  • Answer telephones promptly and courteously, with a smile. We aim to answer all calls within three rings.
  • Deal with enquiries professionally.
  • Keep up to date with new products on the market, new brochures, special offers, etc.
  • Maximise earning potential of each client by offering air upgrades, additional hotel nights, etc.
  • Ensure that the full booking process is adhered to including sending client confirmation and reminder letters and making concierge calls.
  • Ensure clients’ passports are up to date, visa and health requirements are advised, and clients are fully covered by insurance.
  • Follow up on all enquiries, quotes, brochure requests by phone or email.
  • Telephone selected clients with new cruise line information, event details, or offers.
  • Proactively develop business through consistent follow-up of sales leads.

Administration

  • Keep files and booking and client records fully up to date, ensure payments made, documentation passed on in a timely manner.
  • Handle new enquiries adding names and email addresses to mailing list.
  • Ensure presentation of all information is in accordance with company policies.
  • Ensure client preferences, interests, details, etc. are added to client records.
  • Ensure appropriate information is added to Knowledge Base.
  • Assist with general office duties as required.

Customer Relations

  • Attend and host ship visits.
  • Attend and host client functions.
  • Take a leading role amongst your colleagues at client events and for client consultations.
  • Develop personal relationships with clients/suppliers.
  • In the absence of the Reservations Manager, attend to customer relations issues.

Business Development

  • Take an active role in proposing improvements to systems, products sold, and working practices.
  • Be prepared to develop and act upon the proposals you make.
  • Working with the Reservations Manager, help identify training needs and be proactive in addressing these needs.
  • Assist and support the Reservations Manager with proactive and positive suggestions and ideas.
